Demirhan Mansız was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the game, Hayrabolu's Olcay Ayık nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demirhan Mansız made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some careless play in the MARATON defense, Olcay Ayık kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demirhan Mansız. The MARATON fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demirhan Mansız should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the game, Hayrabolu's Alim Mete nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demirhan Mansız made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Necati Budak in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Göktan Sadiray prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute Sait Uçhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demirhan Mansız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alim Mete scored 0-5 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demirhan Mansız, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Necati Budak had several of the Hayrabolu's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Göktan Sadiray as he didn't even see the shot coming. 37 minutes into the match, MARATON's goal looked a bit too open when Efe Ülküsel came free, but Demirhan Mansız reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efe Ülküsel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Demirhan Mansız took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sait Uçhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Yağızalp Çimen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rdth minute of the game Olcay Ayık who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MARATON's Demirhan Mansız was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Necati Budaks short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Göktan Sadiray to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olcay Ayık stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Göktan Sadiray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuh Ahid in the 51st minute of play. Göktan Sadiray didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuh Ahid went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. Demirhan Mansız made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olcay Ayık in the 57th minute of play. Demirhan Mansız was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alim Mete showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-6 in the 58 minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, MARATON's goalkeeper Demirhan Mansız had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Efe Ülküsel. Necati Budak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Göktan Sadiray having to make a save. 69 minutes into the match, Hayrabolu's goal looked a bit too open when Necati Budak came free, but Göktan Sadiray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göktan Sadiray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Necati Budak's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Yiğit Seçkiner kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Olcay Ayık kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Demirhan Mansız. That made the score 2-8 in the 87 minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, MARATON's goalkeeper Demirhan Mansız had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sait Uçhan. Hayrabolu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
