The referee ignored Kütahyaspor's protests and gave Serbülent Vahip a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kütahyaspor! Erenay Aşkıner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şenel Temizkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After some careless play in the Kütahyaspor defense, Ulaş Varol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mehmet Bilge Yılhan. The Kütahyaspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mehmet Bilge Yılhan should have stopped the shot. Erenay Aşkıner made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Basri Özdoğan sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Göktan Yalazalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kütahyaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Göktan Yalazalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The wind increased when Ulaş Varol made the kick off in the second half. In the 74th minute of the match, Kunter Yazıcıoğlu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mehmet Bilge Yılhan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Kütahyaspor's Yaşar Serdinç got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Şenel Temizkan came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Kütahyaspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şenel Temizkan couldn't finish the play. Kunter Yazıcıoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Mehmet Bilge Yılhan made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Oyak eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
