If İlkan Kaman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yenicaga's İlkan Kaman got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ali Behzat Ulgu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Sungurbey Tevfik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Müfit Baroğlu's late challenge caught a Yenicaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Senesevler. Yenicaga's Samir Refi got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Senesevler getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Batu Cem Duyar hit a great ball. In the 46th minute of the match Süreyya Kandemir shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aral Ulutay showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samir Refi to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Samir Refi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aral Ulutay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Arif Gaffar Kortan fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Sungurbey Tevfik came out of the goal and Gencay Barçın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 played minutes Yenicaga got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Kutsi Mecnun. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yenicaga's goalkeeper Sungurbey Tevfik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, İlkan Kaman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yenicaga's supporters rose to their feet, but İlkan Kaman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aral Ulutay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
