An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdullatif Tüzün in the 16th minute of play forced LYKSOL's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Suer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LYKSOL's Mehmet Hakkı Suer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdullatif Tüzün in the 21st minute of play. Ömür Yüce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Hakkı Suer having to interfere. When Ömür Yüce came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Sivas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ömür Yüce couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Sivas booed when LYKSOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Atıf Akyazı didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Abdullatif Tüzün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tuncay Şahit during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdullatif Tüzün made a kick off. Berkant İleri struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mehmet Hakkı Suer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdullatif Tüzün in the 97th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Sivas were the better team. Sivas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
