A hard shot 26 in the game by Ulu Akdeniz from a close distance when the talented Sarp Pirane managed to make a qualified save. Kücükyali's players were relieved. Eyüp Özbil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Sarp Pirane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ahmet Bedri Özbey managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience was convinced that Ulu Akdeniz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sarp Pirane was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. When Vural İlican came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Mersin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vural İlican couldn't finish the play. Eyüp Özbil hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match.
