Spectators: 6659 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Yakup İlksel took the kick off in the first half of the match. Kağan Soysan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Göztepe1925 getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Taha Suheyl hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FENERBAHÇE SK's İslam Hürsel got a free kick in the 15th minute. Göztepe1925's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 16th minute of the game, when İlbey Batır after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of FENERBAHÇE SK's goal. İlbey Batır was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Arif Memduh Ugraş struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Anıl Cenk Uygur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Göztepe1925. In the 21st minute Arif Memduh Ugraş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anıl Cenk Uygur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FENERBAHÇE SK's Anıl Cenk Uygur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Memduh Ugraş in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE SK's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Memduh Ugraş came free, but Anıl Cenk Uygur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Ahmet Seyfi Paşa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arif Memduh Ugraş in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anıl Cenk Uygur saved FENERBAHÇE SK from getting behind. When Gürel Seyran fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FENERBAHÇE SK's protests and gave Gürel Seyran a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Göztepe1925 booed when FENERBAHÇE SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürel Seyran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Halit Fahri Alansoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Namık Baytekin in the 42nd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Kağan Soysan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halit Fahri Alansoy having to interfere. With a little luck, Göztepe1925's Halit Fahri Alansoy got control of the ball when Kağan Soysan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the FENERBAHÇE SK defense, Çelik Tunçtürk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anıl Cenk Uygur. The FENERBAHÇE SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anıl Cenk Uygur should have stopped the shot. Özal İlkim's late challenge caught a FENERBAHÇE SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Özal İlkim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, FENERBAHÇE SK got a penalty, and Aycan Zeynur placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. After 82 played minutes FENERBAHÇE SK got a freekick which was hit by Gürel Seyran. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Çelik Tunçtürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Göztepe1925's supporters rose to their feet, but Çelik Tunçtürk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anıl Cenk Uygur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
