The audience was convinced that Mehmet Ediz Ahad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ali Kürşat Emektar was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Arif Burak Cespan might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over İlker Yalazay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Behiç Gümüşsoy during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sakaryaspor sk booed when ISTANBUL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behiç Gümüşsoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durmuş Saye struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. İlker Yalazay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sakaryaspor sk. Mehmet Ediz Ahad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aybars Dinçay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aybars Dinçay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Durmuş Saye to strike the kick off in the second half. Ali Kürşat Emektar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aybars Dinçay in the 91st minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ISTANBUL FC had played much better football throughout.
