An unexpectedly hard shot by Rıza Rıdvan in the 11th minute of play forced Halfeti's goalkeeper Güneri Tüzün to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Emirşah Işıklar notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Halfeti's Güneri Tüzün. Güneri Tüzün was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remzi Özver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mahir Perk in the 16th minute of the match. If Rıza Rıdvan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Güneri Tüzün made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Emirşah Işıklar sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Üzeyir Rekin made a precise shot to the right of Remzi Özver. MERSİN İY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 30 minutes into the match, Emirşah Işıklar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Güneri Tüzün. Halfeti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emirşah Işıklar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When Halfeti's Mahir Perk in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MERSİN İY's goalie prevented a goal. But to his dismay, Savaş Tunçaslan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. MERSİN İY's Remzi Özver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Savaş Tunçaslan in the 44th minute of play. Emirşah Işıklar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Güneri Tüzün read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Ekrem Türkoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Emirşah Işıklar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Güneri Tüzün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fahri Sabahaddin struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Güneri Tüzün didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MERSİN İY. After having played for 62 minutes, Emirşah Işıklar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MERSİN İY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emirşah Işıklar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ekrem Türkoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güneri Tüzün having to interfere. Rıza Rıdvan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fahri Sabahaddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Güneri Tüzün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Emirşah Işıklar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ekrem Türkoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a good free kick, Emirşah Işıklar got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Halfeti. Emirşah Işıklar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Güneri Tüzün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rıza Rıdvan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MERSİN İY's Fahri Sabahaddin got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
