Saruhan Okanay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökhun Çetiner having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Batu Cem Özben put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gökhun Çetiner. Gökhun Çetiner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saruhan Okanay in the 20th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Saruhan Okanay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökhun Çetiner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mesudiye's goalkeeper Gökhun Çetiner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Saruhan Okanay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mesudiye's zone, Batu Cem Özben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökhun Çetiner came out of the goal and Batu Cem Özben tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gökhun Çetiner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saruhan Okanay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mesudiye's goalkeeper Gökhun Çetiner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mesudiye's Gökhun Çetiner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saruhan Okanay in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Batu Cem Özben had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gökhun Çetiner. Mesudiye's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Batu Cem Özben was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gökhun Çetiner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batu Cem Özben, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd match minute, Mecidiyeköy SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orçun Girgin to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Suphi Eripek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mesudiye's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mecidiyeköy SK the free kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hayri Saltık was the one to do the kick off. Hayri Saltık recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Batu Cem Özben struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Gökhun Çetiner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mecidiyeköy SK. Gökhun Çetiner made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when İzzet İslamoğlu sent off a good shot on target. When Temel Sözmen came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Mesudiye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Temel Sözmen couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Batu Cem Özben sped through Mesudiye's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gökhun Çetiner. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Temel Sözmen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesudiye's supporters rose to their feet, but Temel Sözmen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alpertunga Oksay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mecidiyeköy SK's Batu Cem Özben got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gökhun Çetiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saruhan Okanay in the 79th minute of play. Saruhan Okanay in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gökhun Çetiner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 85 played minutes Mecidiyeköy SK got a freekick which was hit by Batur Dindar. Hayri Saltık fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alpertunga Oksay having to interfere. The Mecidiyeköy SK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
