Reha Riva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Behçet Ünalan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, BüyüklimanSpor's Behçet Ünalan threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Özcan Atılay, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 5th minute, Reha Riva made a precise shot to the right of Behçet Ünalan. Marmaraspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, BüyüklimanSpor's Çelikan Seçkin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Behçet Ünalan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 39th minute, Reha Riva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Behçet Ünalan was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Çelikan Seçkin to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Reha Riva put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Behçet Ünalan. After 70 minutes, Ziya Onur Oktar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marmaraspor and the BüyüklimanSpor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Behçet Ünalan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Turan Zaik, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Reha Riva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BüyüklimanSpor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Ulvi İlkay managed to get in a good position for a shot. BüyüklimanSpor's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulvi İlkay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Behçet Ünalan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ahmet Koralp Balta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reha Riva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Behçet Ünalan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turan Zaik in the 94th minute of play forced Marmaraspor's goalkeeper Behçet Ünalan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BüyüklimanSpor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
