Semi Süvarioğlu struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Seçkin Ökmen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ardesen. After 16 minutes, Taha Kutsal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ardesen and the Izmir players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Taha Kutsal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Behram Asya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haldun Deren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Sacit Cire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izmir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ardesen the free kick. After a rather tough play, Izmir's Sacit Cire got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ardesen's zone, Hakkı Onur Ersal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Behram Asya came out of the goal and Hakkı Onur Ersal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haldun Deren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Behram Asya having to interfere. If Haldun Deren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48thth minute of the game Hakkı Onur Ersal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ardesen's Behram Asya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haldun Deren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Baransel Sarif fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ardesen's protests and gave Baransel Sarif a yellow card for diving instead. Hakkı Onur Ersal took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Behram Asya. Behram Asya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 68th minute, Haldun Deren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Behram Asya. The goal made the score 1-2. The Ardesen fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Ardesen's Faruk Nafiz Orus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Izmir defense, Faruk Nafiz Orus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Seçkin Ökmen. The Izmir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Seçkin Ökmen should have stopped the shot. Semi Süvarioğlu scored 4-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seçkin Ökmen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Hakkı Onur Ersal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haldun Deren took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Behram Asya. Behram Asya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. When Semi Süvarioğlu came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Ardesen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Semi Süvarioğlu couldn't finish the play. Ardesen's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
