When Günalp Uruz came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Savur JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Günalp Uruz couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Savur JK getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Vacid Özgen hit a great ball. Günalp Uruz charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Günalp Uruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Istanbulspor booed when Savur JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Günalp Uruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Istanbulspor's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Ali Süleyman came free, but Mithat Karabey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mithat Karabey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Ali Süleyman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Istanbulspor's goalkeeper Mithat Karabey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Savur JK booed when Istanbulspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Işık İzgü didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Istanbulspor's İlbey Keskinel got a free kick in the 41st minute. 46 minutes into the match, Savur JK's goal looked a bit too open when İlbey Keskinel came free, but Hıdır Birhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Istanbulspor's Mithat Karabey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Istanbulspor from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the game, Erol Saffet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Hıdır Birhan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 75 minutes into the match, Mehmet Ali Süleyman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mithat Karabey, 1-2. If Günalp Uruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehmet Ali Süleyman struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. The Savur JK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
