Kocaali's Zekai Ilımlı managed to work through Velet Spor's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Zekai Ilımlı dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Veli Kartekin's late challenge caught a Kocaali's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Veli Kartekin helped the player get up and apologised. Veli Kartekin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Serbülent İskenderoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cem Hamurcuoğlu was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Zekai Ilımlı kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When Habib Rebi fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kocaali's protests and gave Habib Rebi a yellow card for diving instead. Habib Rebi hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, Kocaali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İlker Orsan to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Berke Verim made a kick off. Serbülent İskenderoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Cem Hamurcuoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59thth minute of the game Olgun Yoruç who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kocaali's Yüce Ethem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Velet Spor's zone, Zekai Ilımlı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cem Hamurcuoğlu came out of the goal and Zekai Ilımlı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zekai Ilımlı blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cem Hamurcuoğlu having to make a save. Bedih Ceri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Zekai Ilımlı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cem Hamurcuoğlu was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Velet Spor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berke Verim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Velet Spor's goalkeeper Cem Hamurcuoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serbülent İskenderoğlu. Kocaali's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
