Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mehmet Ediz İncirli started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Mustafa Anıl Ankara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denizli SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustafa Anıl Ankara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Güngör Ökmener breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Güngör Ökmener came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Denizli SK's Mustafa Anıl Ankara. But to his dismay, Mustafa Anıl Ankara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 14th minute, Dinç Altunışık hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to GÖZTEPE getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Dinç Altunışık hit a great ball. Arda Göksel Demirsah, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mustafa Anıl Ankara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mehmet Ediz İncirli came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Denizli SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Ediz İncirli couldn't finish the play. Güngör Ökmener stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mehmet Ediz İncirli's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. When Dinç Altunışık came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the GÖZTEPE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinç Altunışık couldn't finish the play. Denizli SK's Mehmet Ediz İncirli got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind GÖZTEPE's goalkeeper Güngör Ökmener, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Mustafa Anıl Ankara came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Denizli SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Anıl Ankara couldn't finish the play. If Rüştü Yavuzalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Güngör Ökmener didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mustafa Anıl Ankara went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.

Güngör Ökmener showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remzi Özçevik, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 73 minutes into the match, GÖZTEPE's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Anıl Ankara came free, but Güngör Ökmener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Denizli SK's Mustafa Anıl Ankara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Güngör Ökmener made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 83rd minute, Mehmet Ediz İncirli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denizli SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Güngör Ökmener made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Anıl Ankara in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of GÖZTEPE booed when Denizli SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Korkut Iğdırlı didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in GÖZTEPE's zone, Mehmet Ediz İncirli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Güngör Ökmener came out of the goal and Mehmet Ediz İncirli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th minute, Abdurrahim Çağlar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fazlı Olcaytug was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.
