GALATASARAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Halis Tokur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cengizhan Dirayet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Halis Tokur went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mesut Acaralp struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Cengizhan Dirayet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY. The Kandilli supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching GALATASARAY's performance. The match ended with a win for GALATASARAY.
