Abbas Çetintürk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 3 minutes, Mustafa Birol Baştürk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sivas S.K's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mustafa Birol Baştürk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saip Akkan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bahtiyar Helvacıoğlu's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Can Akdoğan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Can Akdoğan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Can Akdoğan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rdth minute of the game Sami Ayalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yakacik's Saip Akkan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mecnun Tandoğan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yusuf Arslantürk hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Can Akdoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bahtiyar Helvacıoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Saip Akkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Bahtiyar Helvacıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saip Akkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Sami Ayalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mecnun Tandoğan made a kick off. After some careless play in the Sivas S.K defense, Can Akdoğan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aydın Kabak. The Sivas S.K fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aydın Kabak should have stopped the shot. Sivas S.K's Aydın Kabak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Can Akdoğan in the 54th minute of play. Saip Akkan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mustafa Birol Baştürk. Sivas S.K's Sami Ayalp got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Bahtiyar Helvacıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saip Akkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sami Ayalp struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Saip Akkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sivas S.K. Ahmet Ziya Hürol charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Ziya Hürol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aydın Kabak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Can Akdoğan, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Yakacik's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
