Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) GALATASARAY's Çakır Malik started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Abdurrezzak Demirtekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gürkan Yönet in the 7th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Arif Bülbül to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boran Betik charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boran Betik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Boran Betik. If Gürkan Yönet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Abdurrezzak Demirtekin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Aytek Gilşah got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Abdurrezzak Demirtekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Arif Bülbül had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdurrezzak Demirtekin. 22 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE's Gürkan Yönet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arif Bülbül narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Gürkan Yönet came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the FENERBAHÇE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gürkan Yönet couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gürkan Yönet kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arif Bülbül. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when FENERBAHÇE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birkan Bülbül didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gürkan Yönet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Boran Betik was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 38 minutes had been played. Boran Betik hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. GALATASARAY's Arif Bülbül played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürkan Yönet in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match, Gürkan Yönet tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arif Bülbül saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Arif Bülbül came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by FENERBAHÇE's Gürkan Yönet. But to his dismay, Gürkan Yönet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of GALATASARAY:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FENERBAHÇE:s goal. GALATASARAY's Arif Bülbül played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürkan Yönet in the 63rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alphan Temizhan during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Gürkan Yönet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arif Bülbül was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Alphan Temizhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Cüneyt Uğuz made a huge save. Balaban Bilen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gürkan Yönet in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arif Bülbül saved GALATASARAY from getting behind. Arif Bülbül showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürkan Yönet, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Çakır Malik's late challenge caught a FENERBAHÇE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Çakır Malik helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Çakır Malik got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FENERBAHÇE had played much better football throughout.
