In the 17th minute, Ahmet Necdet Urangu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute Eray Bekdemir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cüneyt Uğuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdurrezzak Demirtekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in GÜMÜŞHANESPOR's zone, Abdurrezzak Demirtekin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamber Özen came out of the goal and Abdurrezzak Demirtekin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The nice shot from Abdurrezzak Demirtekin in the 54thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Kamber Özen had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FENERBAHÇE walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
