Şafak Uluçam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doğaner Sabir having to interfere. Cemil Turcan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yahya Tuyuğ's late challenge caught a GS SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yahya Tuyuğ helped the player get up and apologised. Halil Utku Akdurmuş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sungurbey Yurday made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cemil Turcan in the 38th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Şafak Uluçam made the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Gökmen Kurhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GS SK and the Real Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to GS SK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gökmen Kurhan hit a great ball. Özer Ünalp took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sungurbey Yurday. GS SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Halil Utku Akdurmuş struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Sungurbey Yurday didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Madrid. Cemil Turcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Sungurbey Yurday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 minutes of play GS SK's Gökmen Kurhan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 74 played minutes GS SK got a freekick which was hit by Gökmen Kurhan. GS SK were furious when Kıvanç Sidam was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of GS SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Real Madrid:s goal. The referee gave Real Madrid a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Özer Ünalp, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of GS SK's Sungurbey Yurday. 2-1. If Halil Utku Akdurmuş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Halil Utku Akdurmuş cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Sungurbey Yurday was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the GS SK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Madrid.
