After having played for 6 minutes, Abdi Mehmet Öztan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selenay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdi Mehmet Öztan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arif Bülbül showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arın Ferhat Adaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The audience was convinced that Arın Ferhat Adaş's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arif Bülbül was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After 22 minutes, Raik Kurumer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY and the Selenay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in GALATASARAY fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Arif Bülbül took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arın Ferhat Adaş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Çakır Malik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ahmet Hafiz Songur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alphan Temizhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Nuratay Hataylı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selenay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GALATASARAY the free kick. A collision led to Selenay getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Nuratay Hataylı hit a great ball. After the first half GALATASARAY were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arın Ferhat Adaş to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Arslan Ömürcan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arif Bülbül skillfully saved the ball. 64 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Batıkan Ilıcak came free, but Arif Bülbül reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arif Bülbül made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arın Ferhat Adaş in the 73rd minute of play. Arın Ferhat Adaş struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Arif Bülbül didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selenay. After 76 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Balaban Bilen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdi Mehmet Öztan in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arif Bülbül prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY's zone, Arın Ferhat Adaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arif Bülbül came out of the goal and Arın Ferhat Adaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arif Bülbül showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arın Ferhat Adaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Arif Bülbül, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Alphan Temizhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Batıkan Ilıcak came free, but Arif Bülbül reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
