Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Necat İshak successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 7 minutes into the match, İstanbul United's goal looked a bit too open when Aydemir Kutlan came free, but Bahadır Uyun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Mehmet Şefik Serir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Torul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bahadır Uyun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aydemir Kutlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Mehmet Şefik Serir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bahadır Uyun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aydemir Kutlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bahtiyar Safvet's late challenge caught a İstanbul United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bahtiyar Safvet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Torul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bahtiyar Safvet to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Torul's goalkeeper Necat İshak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mehmet Şefik Serir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahadır Uyun having to interfere. Aydemir Kutlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Torul's Aydemir Kutlan in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Selçuk Avcıoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Selçuk Avcıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Torul were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Arif Timuroz to make the kick off. İstanbul United's Ahmet Arif Timuroz got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adem Evvah struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Necat İshak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for İstanbul United. Aydemir Kutlan took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bahadır Uyun. Bahadır Uyun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Bora Han Baysal took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bahadır Uyun. Torul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Şefik Serir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Torul's Mehmet Şefik Serir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bahadır Uyun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahmet Arif Timuroz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Necat İshak having to make a save. Aydemir Kutlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahadır Uyun having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehmet Şefik Serir during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Necat İshak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adem Evvah in the 90th minute of play. If Ahmet Arif Timuroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Torul left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than İstanbul United.
