The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Utkan Tanalp during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zekeriya Gündeş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iskenderun. After having played for 33 minutes, Şafak Tamkoç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iskenderun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şafak Tamkoç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Hisarcik booed when Iskenderun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Utkan Tanalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kemal Tanyol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Arif Nihat Arslan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Nizam Ustaoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aybar Türk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamdi Berin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zekeriya Gündeş having to interfere. If Şafak Tamkoç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aybar Türk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nizam Ustaoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Zekeriya Gündeş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamdi Berin in the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Iskenderun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Utkan Tanalp to maneuver through the defense. When Reşat Ulusan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. In the 82nd minute, Reşat Ulusan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83 played minutes Iskenderun got a freekick which was hit by Utkan Tanalp. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iskenderun's goalkeeper Aybar Türk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamit Hikmettin in the 85th minute of play forced Iskenderun's goalkeeper Aybar Türk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Iskenderun's Aybar Türk got control of the ball when Batıhan Hacıoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line.
