The crowd rose to their feet as Torul's Baskın Oktan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tanju Işınbay. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. 13 minutes into the game, one of FC Drunken Horses:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tanju Işınbay had in the 16thth minute some difficulties stopping Vahit Turaç's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 17 minutes into the match, FC Drunken Horses's goalkeeper Tanju Işınbay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aydemir Kutlan. 23 minutes into the match, Aydemir Kutlan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Drunken Horses's Tanju Işınbay. Tanju Işınbay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Torul's Mehmet Şefik Serir got a free kick in the 27th minute. With a little luck, FC Drunken Horses's Tanju Işınbay got control of the ball when Aydemir Kutlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mehmet Şefik Serir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, FC Drunken Horses's goalkeeper Tanju Işınbay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aydemir Kutlan. After 46 minutes of play, Torul's Aydemir Kutlan made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tanju Işınbay was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sakut Özdener to make the kick off. If Aydemir Kutlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torul's Mehmet Şefik Serir got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Bora Han Baysal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tanju Işınbay. FC Drunken Horses's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bora Han Baysal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Tanju Işınbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aydemir Kutlan in the 66th minute of play. Aydemir Kutlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tanju Işınbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mehmet Şefik Serir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Torul's Mehmet Şefik Serir in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Drunken Horses's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mutlu Tanırer during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Torul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mutlu Tanırer to maneuver through the defense. When Sakut Özdener came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC Drunken Horses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sakut Özdener couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the FC Drunken Horses defense, Aydemir Kutlan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tanju Işınbay. The FC Drunken Horses fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanju Işınbay should have stopped the shot. Torul's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
