Enver Şahruh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gürel Başhekim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kemalettin Ispartalı in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kartal Tacal saved Konya from getting behind. The supporters of Konya booed when Ilgin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yusuf Bahadır Kaygun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Göktürk Sağman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Konya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göktürk Sağman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Kemalettin Ispartalı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kartal Tacal. Konya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kemalettin Ispartalı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Ilgin booed when Konya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Haşim Uluant didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Kemalettin Ispartalı made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Berkant Özonder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göktürk Sağman in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enver Şahruh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yusuf Bahadır Kaygun during the 58th minute. In the 66thth minute of the game Göktürk Sağman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ilgin's Enver Şahruh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enver Şahruh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lefter Özbey, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Enver Şahruh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göktürk Sağman's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Konya's goal looked a bit too open when Kemalettin Ispartalı came free, but Kartal Tacal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Ahmet Haşim Uluant sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ilgin's Enver Şahruh didn't even have to move. If Kemalettin Ispartalı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
