The Baklan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaan Erdemer should have stopped the shot. Konya's Kartal Tacal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuncay Ekin in the 44th minute of play. Kartal Tacal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuncay Ekin, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. After the first half Konya were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göktürk Sağman to make the kick off. Göktürk Sağman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaan Erdemer having to interfere. With a little luck, Baklan's Kaan Erdemer got control of the ball when Lefter Özbey tried to sneak it across the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Konya's goal looked a bit too open when Tuncay Ekin came free, but Kartal Tacal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Tuncay Ekin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baklan's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuncay Ekin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kartal Tacal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the game, Tuncay Ekin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Kartal Tacal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baklan's Kaan Erdemer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göktürk Sağman in the 89th minute of play. Lefter Özbey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaan Erdemer having to interfere. Kartal Tacal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melih Cevdet Sarıoğlu went, in the 99th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The Konya players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Baklan from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
