He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Trabzon reached it. If Göktürk Sağman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Konya's Zeki Sağanalp got a free kick in the 19th minute. Afşin Ahsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Kartal Tacal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Oğuzalp Soysan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kartal Tacal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Aşır Özerman came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Konya's Lefter Özbey. But to his dismay, Lefter Özbey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Zeki Sağanalp kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Konya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Haşim Uluant to maneuver through the defense. Oğuzalp Soysan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kartal Tacal having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Göktürk Sağman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aşır Özerman was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Kartal Tacal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afşin Ahsen in the 41st minute of play. Konya's Kartal Tacal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afşin Ahsen in the 44th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afşin Ahsen to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Lefter Özbey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trabzon's Aşır Özerman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aşır Özerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lefter Özbey, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Göktürk Sağman in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aşır Özerman saved Trabzon from getting behind. Lefter Özbey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aşır Özerman having to interfere. When Konya's Göktürk Sağman in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trabzon's goalie prevented a goal. Behram Karabulut kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trabzon's goalkeeper Aşır Özerman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Göktürk Sağman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aşır Özerman was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oğuzalp Soysan got free with Kartal Tacal in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ahmet Haşim Uluant got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Konya getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ahmet Haşim Uluant hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Konya's zone, Oğuzalp Soysan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kartal Tacal came out of the goal and Oğuzalp Soysan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute, Lefter Özbey made a precise shot to the right of Aşır Özerman. Trabzon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Aşır Özerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeki Sağanalp in the 87th minute of play. Oğuzalp Soysan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Kartal Tacal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Oğuzalp Soysan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kartal Tacal having to interfere.
