Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gürcan Peykan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a little luck, FENERBAHÇE's Erkan Patlar got control of the ball when Hurşit Kamuran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute, Göktas's Ersin Vefalı ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erkan Patlar. Erkan Patlar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. With a little luck, FENERBAHÇE's Erkan Patlar got control of the ball when Hurşit Kamuran tried to sneak it across the goal line. FENERBAHÇE's Erkan Patlar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bedri Koç in the 13th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 18 minutes into the game, when Yıldıray Bahçıvan put in a rough tackle. In the 19th match minute, Göktas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yıldıray Bahçıvan to maneuver through the defense. After 22nd play minutes Gürcan Peykan shot 1-2, a short shot which went by İbrahim Efe Akyazıcı and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 28th minute Gürcan Peykan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İbrahim Efe Akyazıcı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armağan Güler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İbrahim Efe Akyazıcı having to interfere. Göktas's Hurşit Kamuran got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Göktas defense, Armağan Güler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of İbrahim Efe Akyazıcı. The Göktas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that İbrahim Efe Akyazıcı should have stopped the shot. In the 45th match minute, Göktas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asaf Kayansel to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hurşit Kamuran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gürcan Peykan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erkan Patlar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hurşit Kamuran in the 58th minute of the match. If Armağan Güler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes Göktas got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Hamdi Tuyuğ. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for FENERBAHÇE. Macit Polatkılıç stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving İbrahim Efe Akyazıcı. 1-4. Feridun Aktaşlı took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised İbrahim Efe Akyazıcı. İbrahim Efe Akyazıcı dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gürcan Peykan in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İbrahim Efe Akyazıcı saved Göktas from getting behind. Erkan Patlar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asaf Kayansel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Macit Polatkılıç kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Hurşit Kamuran came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Göktas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hurşit Kamuran couldn't finish the play. Erkan Patlar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bedri Koç in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bedri Koç in the 91st minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Erkan Patlar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erkan Patlar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hurşit Kamuran in the 95th minute of the match. If Hurşit Kamuran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FENERBAHÇE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FENERBAHÇE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
