Barış Özgenay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bora Ortunc in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Ferid Kaveloğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th match minute, Kusadasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Selami Bakır to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Ferid Kaveloğlu put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Barış Özgenay. GALATASARAY 1905's Reşit Balta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY 1905 from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute Hayrullah Tecer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reşit Balta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hayrullah Tecer in the 31st minute of play forced GALATASARAY 1905's goalkeeper Reşit Balta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naim Sağıt hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Barış Özgenay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferid Kaveloğlu in the 37th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Kusadasi got a freekick which was hit by Selami Bakır. In the 41stth minute of the game Ferid Kaveloğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kusadasi's Barış Özgenay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barış Özgenay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hayrullah Tecer to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Kusadasi's goalkeeper Barış Özgenay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferid Kaveloğlu. In the 56th minute of the match GALATASARAY 1905 got a corner. Kusadasi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferid Kaveloğlu in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barış Özgenay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferid Kaveloğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kusadasi's zone, Ferid Kaveloğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barış Özgenay came out of the goal and Ferid Kaveloğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reşit Balta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayrullah Tecer, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Bora Ortunc got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferid Kaveloğlu in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barış Özgenay saved Kusadasi from getting behind. Abayhan Ecemiş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ferid Kaveloğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Naim Sağıt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barış Özgenay having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ferid Kaveloğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barış Özgenay was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Cevahir Gürler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Barış Özgenay made a huge save. Reşit Balta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hayrullah Tecer went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. GALATASARAY 1905 played a much better game than Kusadasi and deserved their victory. The Kusadasi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
