But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gürcan Peykan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Bülent Tükelay in the 23rd minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Erkan Patlar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FENERBAHÇE's Erkan Patlar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emre Serdaroğlu in the 29th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gürcan Peykan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gürcan Peykan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Göktan Seyhun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armağan Güler in the 58th minute of the match. Semail Nurbay kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Gürcan Peykan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Göktan Seyhun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as GMatador SK's Yavuz Bülent Tükelay slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erkan Patlar. That made the score 2-1 after 70 minutes of play. Göktan Seyhun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cuma Reha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göktan Seyhun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürcan Peykan in the 76th minute of play.
