Suat Erensoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Ediz Tunçboğa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 4 played minutes DerinDarbe got a freekick which was hit by Suat Erensoy. Eser Dirayet charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eser Dirayet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Eser Dirayet. After a defensive mix-up in DerinDarbe's zone, Ateş Haylaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uluç Oyalp came out of the goal and Ateş Haylaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eser Dirayet was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Galatasaray's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Batıray Haktanır kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th play minute Ateş Haylaz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Uluç Oyalp. 1-0. In the 21st match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timur Ülkümen to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, İlhan Evvel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uluç Oyalp. DerinDarbe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İlhan Evvel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Derman Akpınar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Ateş Haylaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uluç Oyalp. DerinDarbe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ateş Haylaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Uluç Oyalp was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Nuralp Ramiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nuralp Ramiz really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. A hard shot by Emrah Mutlutekin from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got Uluç Oyalp's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 37 minutes into the game, Ronny Mårtensson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DerinDarbe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray the free kick. Ronny Mårtensson kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Orhan Seyfi Özbala made the kick off in the second half. Orhan Seyfi Özbala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediz Tunçboğa having to interfere. Orhan Seyfi Özbala received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ediz Tunçboğa came out and tried to block the shot, but Orhan Seyfi Özbala slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 54th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eser Dirayet in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uluç Oyalp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute of the match Batıray Haktanır shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uluç Oyalp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. DerinDarbe's Uluç Oyalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ateş Haylaz in the 70th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronny Mårtensson couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute, Ateş Haylaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uluç Oyalp was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. In the 87th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Batıray Haktanır to maneuver through the defense. Galatasaray's Ediz Tunçboğa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray from getting a goal against them. Suat Erensoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediz Tunçboğa having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Orhan Seyfi Özbala came free, but Ediz Tunçboğa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ediz Tunçboğa was a little too slow when Orhan Seyfi Özbala got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 7-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eser Dirayet in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uluç Oyalp saved DerinDarbe from getting behind.
