Ali Ömer Tanyıldız fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bulut Tokyürek having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Bayır FK's Cesur Günden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bulut Tokyürek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cesur Günden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Bulut Tokyürek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bayır FK's Ali Ömer Tanyıldız got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bulut Tokyürek came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Bayır FK's Cesur Günden. But to his dismay, Cesur Günden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Ali Ömer Tanyıldız came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Bayır FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Ömer Tanyıldız couldn't finish the play. Cesur Günden took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bulut Tokyürek. Bulut Tokyürek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Bayır FK booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamer Hürmüz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bulut Tokyürek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesur Günden in the 40th minute of the match. If Cesur Günden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ali Ömer Tanyıldız managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bayır FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Ömer Tanyıldız was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bulut Tokyürek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Şenol Uçman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Yağızhan Süvari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yağızhan Süvari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şenol Uçman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Borussia Dortmund's Bulut Tokyürek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesur Günden in the 51st minute of play. Cesur Günden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cevher Ziver to maneuver through the defense. Bayır FK's Cesur Günden got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesur Günden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Bulut Tokyürek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borussia Dortmund's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Cesur Günden scored to the left of an out of position Bulut Tokyürek, making the score, 0-4. Rahmi Muharrem lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Yağızhan Süvari didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nizam Yörükoğlu went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Yağızhan Süvari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kemalettin Uzbay in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kemalettin Uzbay in the 93rd minute of play forced Bayır FK's goalkeeper Yağızhan Süvari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Şenol Uçman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yağızhan Süvari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şenol Uçman, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
