When Gökmen Çanak came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SAKARYA SPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gökmen Çanak couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hüseyin Can Türel in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bayram Akkoyun saved Izmirspor from getting behind. In the 30th minute Hüseyin Can Türel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bayram Akkoyun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hüseyin Can Türel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Refik Çetiner fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Bayram Akkoyun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüseyin Can Türel in the 97th minute of play. A collision led to Izmirspor getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Ozan Vezir hit a great ball. Akif Omural thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Bayram Akkoyun, a very annoying self made goal in the 101st minute which led to 0-4.
