It was beautiful to see Güclükonak's Merih Sendur in action when he in the 9th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. Menekse's Asım Toktimur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necmi Muren in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Kutay Utkan made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Artun Gencal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Asım Toktimur was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Temel Sazak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 66 played minutes Güclükonak got a freekick which was hit by Artun Gencal. Edip Turaç could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ali Güralp Cerit made a huge save. Ali Güralp Cerit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutay Utkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Kutay Utkan made a precise shot to the right of Ali Güralp Cerit. Güclükonak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Temel Sazak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edip Turaç could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Ali Güralp Cerit made a huge save. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Güclükonak's goalkeeper Ali Güralp Cerit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute Necmi Muren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asım Toktimur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Necmi Muren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güclükonak's supporters rose to their feet, but Necmi Muren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asım Toktimur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 94 minutes, Temel Sazak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Güclükonak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Temel Sazak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Necmi Muren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Asım Toktimur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Güclükonak were the better team. Güclükonak's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
