Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kutay Utkan started the match with the kick off. Menekse's Kutay Utkan got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Evren Oba sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Menekse's Asım Toktimur didn't even have to move. Ömer Rıza Mehdi spun around in front of the goal 12 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Menekse's goal. Menekse's Edip Turaç got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Özgür Özgurcan took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Asım Toktimur to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alpay Oğuztüzün got free with Asım Toktimur in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Edip Turaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Kutay Utkan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menekse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kutay Utkan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Menekse's Kutay Utkan in 36 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Saadettin İltan guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Edip Turaç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menekse's supporters rose to their feet, but Edip Turaç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saadettin İltan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the game, Menekse's Kutay Utkan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saadettin İltan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 41st match minute, Menekse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yahya Beşer to maneuver through the defense. Özgür Özgurcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Özgür Özgurcan to strike the kick off in the second half. Ömer Rıza Mehdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Asım Toktimur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Özgurcan in the 54th minute of play forced Menekse's goalkeeper Asım Toktimur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Özgür Özgurcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Toktimur having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ömer Rıza Mehdi in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asım Toktimur saved Menekse from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Edip Turaç fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Asım Toktimur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Özgür Özgurcan's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Menekse's zone, Aykan Kökten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asım Toktimur came out of the goal and Aykan Kökten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 72 minutes, Yahya Beşer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menekse and the Gülnar SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yahya Beşer hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Gülnar SK's Evren Oba broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Adil Başsoy's late challenge caught a Gülnar SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adil Başsoy helped the player get up and apologised. Adil Başsoy kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Özgür Özgurcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Toktimur having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Menekse's goal looked a bit too open when Özgür Özgurcan came free, but Asım Toktimur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saadettin İltan was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Kutay Utkan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kutay Utkan really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. In the 91st match minute, Gülnar SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alpay Oğuztüzün to maneuver through the defense.
