Baskın Taif didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menekse. İlbey Arslanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Toktimur having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Mümtazer Lut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MELMİN FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mümtazer Lut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Kutay Utkan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Menekse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MELMİN FC the free kick. The supporters of MELMİN FC booed when Menekse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutay Utkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, İlbey Arslanoğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Asım Toktimur was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Baskın Taif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutay Utkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Kutay Utkan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Baskın Taif, 2-1. Baskın Taif stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kutay Utkan's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when İlbey Arslanoğlu made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in MELMİN FC's zone, Kutay Utkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baskın Taif came out of the goal and Kutay Utkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edip Turaç in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baskın Taif saved MELMİN FC from getting behind. Baskın Taif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kutay Utkan in the 59th minute of play. After 68 played minutes, Menekse's Ogün Paker shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Baskın Taif came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Menekse reached it. Asım Toktimur made an important save on a dangerous shot by İlbey Arslanoğlu in the 71st minute. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Edip Turaç put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Baskın Taif. The supporters of MELMİN FC booed when Menekse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutay Utkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Kutay Utkan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Menekse fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. MELMİN FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
