The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arda Unan in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gökçe Bekdemir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sinan Şerafeddin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökçe Bekdemir having to interfere. The supporters of FENERBAHCE SK booed when Lapseki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bedirhan Batı didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes, FENERBAHCE SK's Ergincan Kuddusi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gökçe Bekdemir came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FENERBAHCE SK reached it. Gökçe Bekdemir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arda Unan went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute Sinan Şerafeddin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökçe Bekdemir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Boran Avcıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burak Umar in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sinan Şerafeddin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gökçe Bekdemir was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Lapseki's zone, Sinan Şerafeddin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökçe Bekdemir came out of the goal and Sinan Şerafeddin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arda Unan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot 39 in the game by Tayyar Akçalı from a close distance when the talented Ahmet Boran Avcıoğlu managed to make a qualified save. FENERBAHCE SK's players were relieved. Gökçe Bekdemir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sinan Şerafeddin, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Burak Umar to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Burak Umar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmet Boran Avcıoğlu. FENERBAHCE SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Burak Umar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 66th minute, Arda Unan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gökçe Bekdemir was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Sinan Şerafeddin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lapseki! After a rather tough play, FENERBAHCE SK's Şakir Asya got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute of the match Semail Gagauz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gökçe Bekdemir showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sinan Şerafeddin took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gökçe Bekdemir. Gökçe Bekdemir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Gökçe Bekdemir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sinan Şerafeddin, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Arda Unan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded FENERBAHCE SK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lapseki.
