With a little luck, Fikirtepe's Rıdvan Alpaslan got control of the ball when Doğaner Oba tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, ArdahanSpor's Aytekin Özgurel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rıdvan Alpaslan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Vahit Olcay hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Atıf Olgaç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğuhan Sayılgan in the 21st minute of play. Rıdvan Alpaslan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semi İslamoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Fikirtepe's goal looked a bit too open when Aytekin Özgurel came free, but Rıdvan Alpaslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute Aytekin Özgurel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rıdvan Alpaslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
