When Peker Tuğbay came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Haymana JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peker Tuğbay couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Haymana JK booed when Avanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ataol Atlas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24thth minute of the game Günalp Köken who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haymana JK's Edip Tarancı was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Günalp Köken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gökçek Tükel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Edip Tarancı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Gökçek Tükel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peker Tuğbay might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emirhan Tuğsav. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peker Tuğbay ran back to his position shaking his head. Şenol İdris blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emirhan Tuğsav having to make a save. Edip Tarancı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökçek Tükel in the 42nd minute of play. The attack was good, but when Günalp Köken in the 46th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Günalp Köken to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Haymana JK's goalkeeper Edip Tarancı, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 55 minutes, Gökçek Tükel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avanos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gökçek Tükel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Haymana JK's Şenol İdris sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emirhan Tuğsav narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Şenol İdris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Emirhan Tuğsav tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Avanos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
