MERZİFON SPOR's Silvinho Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahtiyar Dölek in the 4th minute of play. With a little luck, KÖM UNITED's İskender Baki Usare got control of the ball when Yalçın Üstay tried to sneak it across the goal line. KÖM UNITED's Ensar Şiraz got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ulvi Onul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ulvi Onul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but İskender Baki Usare was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ensar Şiraz in the 32nd minute of play forced MERZİFON SPOR's goalkeeper Silvinho Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ulvi Onul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bahtiyar Dölek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Cahit Başkaynak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MERZİFON SPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cahit Başkaynak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. KÖM UNITED's Bahtiyar Dölek got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yalçın Üstay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulvi Onul in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İskender Baki Usare saved KÖM UNITED from getting behind. Bahtiyar Dölek might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvinho Dionísio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bahtiyar Dölek ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute Yalçın Üstay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İskender Baki Usare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of KÖM UNITED booed when MERZİFON SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüsmen Adaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Şener Yörükoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KÖM UNITED's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MERZİFON SPOR the free kick. In the 78th match minute, KÖM UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şener Yörükoğlu to maneuver through the defense. After 80 minutes, Yıldırım Ruçhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KÖM UNITED and the MERZİFON SPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to KÖM UNITED getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Yıldırım Ruçhan hit a great ball. Recai Şafakoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Recai Şafakoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to MERZİFON SPOR getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Recai Şafakoğlu hit a great ball. After 88 played minutes MERZİFON SPOR got a freekick which was hit by Mürsel Heybetli. Bahtiyar Dölek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho Dionísio having to interfere. After 94 minutes of play KÖM UNITED's Şener Yörükoğlu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Şener Yörükoğlu hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
