Gökhun Canalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garip Özel, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The supporters of sakaryaspor booed when Kadiköy JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vacib Akkaynak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kadiköy JK's goalkeeper Gökhun Canalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mürsel Seza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bulut Onul firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 76th play minutes Ahmet Refik Mengücek shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Gökhun Canalp and just under the crossbar into goal. After 84 played minutes Kadiköy JK got a freekick which was hit by Çelebi Tayuk. When Mürsel Seza fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kadiköy JK's protests and gave Mürsel Seza a yellow card for diving instead. Gökhun Canalp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Refik Mengücek's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Ahmet Refik Mengücek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gökhun Canalp was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kadiköy JK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for sakaryaspor.
