Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hüsnü Belen started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Merter's goalkeeper Abdi Başayoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hüsnü Belen in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kuzey Akkanoğlu saved Albayrak from getting behind. Kuzey Akkanoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüsnü Belen, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Abdulvahit Yağızhan fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merter's protests and gave Abdulvahit Yağızhan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, Merter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulvahit Yağızhan to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute of the match Merter got a corner. Albayrak's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ahmet Refik Usbay ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Albayrak's zone, Hüsnü Belen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kuzey Akkanoğlu came out of the goal and Hüsnü Belen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Kandemir Yarkın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Abdulvahit Yağızhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bayındır Özdurdu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mümtazer İlsak hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Bayındır Özdurdu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Abdi Başayoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hüsnü Belen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kandemir Yarkın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kuzey Akkanoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüsnü Belen in the 69th minute of play. If Hüsnü Belen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Bayındır Özdurdu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albayrak's supporters rose to their feet, but Bayındır Özdurdu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdi Başayoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bedir Demirağ might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abdi Başayoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bedir Demirağ ran back to his position shaking his head. When Albayrak's Baykam Korkutalp in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merter's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th match minute, Merter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berker Yağızkurt to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Merter's goal looked a bit too open when Bayındır Özdurdu came free, but Abdi Başayoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Albayrak. Bayındır Özdurdu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abdi Başayoğlu. 0-3. A collision led to Albayrak getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Kandemir Yarkın hit a great ball. Albayrak's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
