The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İzzet Sümre in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Müslüm Özger saved Tellibaba FK from getting behind. Hakkı Kenan Egin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Tolunay Vecihi made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Derviş Okbudun during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 19 minutes into the game, one of Yusufeli:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 20 minutes, Tellibaba FK's Erhan Akgöze got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tolunay Vecihi. Bektaş Ali Gilşah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tolunay Vecihi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Bektaş Ali Gilşah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tolunay Vecihi came out of the goal and Hakkı Kenan Egin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Tellibaba FK's Bektaş Ali Gilşah sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tolunay Vecihi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yusufeli's supporters crossed their fingers, but İzzet Sümre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oğuz Özengin hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. İzzet Sümre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Müslüm Özger made a huge save. After 60 played minutes Tellibaba FK got a freekick which was hit by Bektaş Ali Gilşah. A collision led to Tellibaba FK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Oğuz Özengin hit a great ball. Müslüm Özger was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Özgün Canol. Bektaş Ali Gilşah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tolunay Vecihi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Tolunay Vecihi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakkı Kenan Egin in the 78th minute of play. The tension between the Tellibaba FK and the Yusufeli players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tellibaba FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yusufeli had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
