Besiktas JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sancar Ispartalı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şimşek Aral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Özden Taşel fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fikirtepe JK's protests and gave Özden Taşel a yellow card for diving instead. After 48 played minutes Fikirtepe JK got a freekick which was hit by Özden Taşel. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Rıza Acarer got free with Şimşek Aral in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rıza Acarer struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Şimşek Aral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Besiktas JK. In the 92nd minute, Rıza Acarer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Sancar Ispartalı came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Besiktas JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sancar Ispartalı couldn't finish the play. The Fikirtepe JK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Besiktas JK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
