YusuFCemiL's Kadim Korgan got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murathan Ortaç took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Songurbey Okanalp. Songurbey Okanalp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, YusuFCemiL's Zafer Tümerdem got a free kick in the 12th minute. Kartal Orkutay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Songurbey Okanalp having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murathan Ortaç in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Songurbey Okanalp saved YusuFCemiL from getting behind. 16 minutes into the game, Yüce Server was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FENERBAHÇE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YusuFCemiL the free kick. The supporters of YusuFCemiL booed when FENERBAHÇE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yüce Server didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tarkan Tunçtürk in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Turan Oğuralp saved FENERBAHÇE from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Yüce Server dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Songurbey Okanalp, 2-0. Kartal Orkutay in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Songurbey Okanalp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Songurbey Okanalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yüce Server, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FENERBAHÇE's Turan Oğuralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arda Baybars Orkut in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Tarkan Tunçtürk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Turan Oğuralp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE booed when YusuFCemiL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kadim Korgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Murathan Ortaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44thth minute of the game Murathan Ortaç who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YusuFCemiL's Songurbey Okanalp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Kartal Orkutay came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the FENERBAHÇE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kartal Orkutay couldn't finish the play. Kartal Orkutay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Songurbey Okanalp made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arda Baybars Orkut made a kick off. When FENERBAHÇE's Kartal Orkutay in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 66th minute, Yüce Server hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Haşim Sureha kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Şahap Refah took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Turan Oğuralp. FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The FENERBAHÇE fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when FENERBAHÇE's Kartal Orkutay looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Murathan Ortaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Kutluay Özhan made a precise shot to the right of Songurbey Okanalp. YusuFCemiL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. In the 83rd minute of the match Doğan Baykal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Turan Oğuralp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Murathan Ortaç might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Songurbey Okanalp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murathan Ortaç ran back to his position shaking his head. Songurbey Okanalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yüce Server in the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yüce Server in the 88th minute of play forced YusuFCemiL's goalkeeper Songurbey Okanalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murathan Ortaç's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Songurbey Okanalp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Murathan Ortaç struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Songurbey Okanalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FENERBAHÇE. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Kartal Orkutay put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Songurbey Okanalp. Arda Baybars Orkut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FENERBAHÇE had played much better football throughout.
