The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ertaç Akbayrak got free with Ahmet Ömür Coşkunsu in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 61 minutes of play Baltalimani's Nebi Sarısaltuk was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 62nd match minute, Baltalimani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nebi Sarısaltuk to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 64 minutes, Ertaç Akbayrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baltalimani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ertaç Akbayrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kadir Kaptan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ahmet Ömür Coşkunsu made a huge save. If Ilgaz Beycan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ertaç Akbayrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Ertaç Akbayrak got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
