The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melih Cevdet Vecid showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 29th minute Özkan Eyüpoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melih Cevdet Vecid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in murate's zone, Meriç Selil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melih Cevdet Vecid came out of the goal and Meriç Selil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Meriç Selil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melih Cevdet Vecid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kürşat Eğriöz charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kürşat Eğriöz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th match minute, Lions Undefeated F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kürşat Eğriöz to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Hayri Beyazit made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, murate's goalkeeper Melih Cevdet Vecid had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Battal Cüneyt Ortaç. Meriç Selil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aycan Özbekkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cuma Gazel in the 64th minute of the match. Battal Cüneyt Ortaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Melih Cevdet Vecid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Battal Cüneyt Ortaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute of the match, Meriç Selil tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Melih Cevdet Vecid saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cuma Gazel struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Aycan Özbekkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for murate. Melih Cevdet Vecid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meriç Selil in the 90th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in murate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! The Lions Undefeated F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lions Undefeated F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
