With a little luck, Fenerbahçe F.C's Sergen Mengücek got control of the ball when Şeref Sebih tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hurşit Tokhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artun Sureha's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. When Ali Berkant Tezalp came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Fenerbahçe F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Berkant Tezalp couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd match minute, Gökceyazi FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yenal Şerhenk to maneuver through the defense. After 43 played minutes, Fenerbahçe F.C's Başar Gayret shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hurşit Tokhan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fenerbahçe F.C reached it. Şeref Sebih could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Sergen Mengücek made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Hurşit Tokhan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th match minute, Fenerbahçe F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paşa Ali Çalapover to maneuver through the defense. Artun Sureha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hurşit Tokhan having to interfere. Ali Berkant Tezalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hurşit Tokhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sadettin Ergün helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Fenerbahçe F.C getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Sadettin Ergün hit a great ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Artun Sureha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbahçe F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artun Sureha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artun Sureha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ali Berkant Tezalp hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Gökceyazi FK's Aral Doğanten got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fenerbahçe F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
