After a defensive mix-up in Zonguldak SK's zone, Gencer Koçarslanoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İslam Yamanöz came out of the goal and Gencer Koçarslanoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Latif Saye struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. İslam Yamanöz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erdemli. In the 17th minute of the match Bayındır Candeğer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but İslam Yamanöz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ahmet Hasan Kutlug's late challenge caught a Erdemli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Hasan Kutlug helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Zonguldak SK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ahmet Hasan Kutlug hit a great ball. The supporters of Erdemli booed when Zonguldak SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Emir Ahid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gencer Koçarslanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İslam Yamanöz having to interfere. If Gencer Koçarslanoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 48 minutes of play, Zonguldak SK's Tuncay Yarlık made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bahadır Yıldız was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Karahan Başesgi made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artun Bedi during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Zonguldak SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artun Bedi to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Zonguldak SK's goalkeeper İslam Yamanöz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gencer Koçarslanoğlu. In the 73rd minute, Karahan Başesgi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Erdemli's Mustafa Orhan Orgun broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 77th minute, Gencer Koçarslanoğlu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of İslam Yamanöz. The goal made the score 1-2. Zonguldak SK's İslam Yamanöz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Latif Saye in the 80th minute of play. Abdi Mehmet Acaroğlu hit a great ball. In the 100th minute of the match Erdemli got a corner. Zonguldak SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mustafa Orhan Orgun ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match was over Erdemli could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zonguldak SK throughout the match.
