After some careless play in the Florya defense, Bahadır Baransel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of İzzettin Uğurtan. The Florya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that İzzettin Uğurtan should have stopped the shot. Tansel Nesil hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. If Gafur Kartekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY A.Ş's goalkeeper Bahtiyar Dolunay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Işıkalp Onur. With an all-out effort, Florya's Bahtiyar Dolunay threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gafur Kartekin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Işıkalp Onur got free with Bahtiyar Dolunay in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. İzzettin Uğurtan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çağdaş Volkan in the 28th minute of play. Bahadır Baransel took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised İzzettin Uğurtan. İzzettin Uğurtan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Çağdaş Volkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İzzettin Uğurtan having to interfere. Çağdaş Volkan kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41stth minute of the game Gafur Kartekin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY A.Ş's Bahtiyar Dolunay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Gafur Kartekin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bahtiyar Dolunay. That made the score 1-2 in the 45 minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gafur Kartekin made a kick off. The supporters of GALATASARAY A.Ş booed when Florya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Yaşar Bengisoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Yetkin Cenap hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bahtiyar Dolunay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gafur Kartekin in the 58th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, GALATASARAY A.Ş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nurtekin Acabey to maneuver through the defense. Işıkalp Onur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florya's Gafur Kartekin got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Işıkalp Onur struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Bahtiyar Dolunay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florya. İzzettin Uğurtan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bahadır Baransel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. GALATASARAY A.Ş's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
