İzzettin Uğurtan was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 6 minutes into the game, DARDANELLES's Radomir Sikola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. İzzettin Uğurtan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Radomir Sikola took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised İzzettin Uğurtan. İzzettin Uğurtan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gafur Kartekin in the 14th minute of play forced DARDANELLES's goalkeeper Ayhan Sorgun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ayhan Sorgun was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Gafur Kartekin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gafur Kartekin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 31 minutes into the game, Bayhan Ayberk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Florya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DARDANELLES the free kick. İzzettin Uğurtan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolek Cipinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes, Mustafa Yaşar Bengisoy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Florya and the DARDANELLES players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute Afşar Karun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ayhan Sorgun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 75th minute, DARDANELLES's Radomir Sikola ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind İzzettin Uğurtan. That made the score 2-4 in the 80 minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, DARDANELLES's goal looked a bit too open when Gafur Kartekin came free, but Ayhan Sorgun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tolek Cipinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but İzzettin Uğurtan made a huge save. Radomir Sikola might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over İzzettin Uğurtan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radomir Sikola ran back to his position shaking his head. Tolek Cipinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. İzzettin Uğurtan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DARDANELLES's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
